Civil Designer OR Engineer
Designer: Individuals graduating with a Bachelors’ Degree in Civil Engineering will begin as a Designer 1. A Civil Designer 1 should become proficient with the use of the company’s chosen CAD/Revit and related software. A Civil Designer 1 can perform some technical tasks in support of a variety of engineering and architectural projects. Employees at this level receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the company.
Engineer: The candidate should have an understanding of engineering principles and codes for a wide variety of site planning and land development type projects and be creative in the ability to produce efficient designs to minimize construction costs. Responsibilities would include planning/drafting site layouts, preparation of construction documents using AutoCAD (site planning) and Civil 3D(land development, streets, utilities), and preparation of technical reports/plans such as stormwater management plans. Other qualifications include a strong AutoCAD/Civil3D background, solid written and verbal communication skills, and a desire to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. PE license required.
